In addition, Sanders has a much more effective response to poverty, between single-payer health care and income inequality and his multifaceted response to income inequality. Not exactly reparations but kind of de facto reparations without racial divisiveness. I would like to see him go further with a guaranteed living wage funded by taxes on the rich, would get closer to being de facto reparations

I was reflecting upon what has become apparent to me as the huge delta between 'worldwide', mass, media coverage of 'the Paris' event and that of 'the San Bernadino' event and it occurred to me that what has evolved as what is the world's vista of current affairs has split into provincial views of major stories when it comes to terrorism and self inflicted human catastrophe and mayhem. There are 'Third World' and 'developing' countries, underdeveloped countries, dictatorships and oligarchies where and when 'events' such as this occur it may make the world news (or not) and we shake or heads and say "so sad", "what a shame"...mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmmm. Then there are 'Western'cities and countries where and when they occur it pervades the world's news for days, weeks, months! Then there is 'America', where and when they occur the world's news may or may not report it for a day and it is shrugged off as 'Only in America!' EXCEPT IN America where each and every occurrence is screamed with indignity and horror from the rooftops...for awhile...then it retracts into remission in all respects until the next one.
However, even world's timely, relative lack of awareness of many events such as the horrors of the Rwandan mass genocide seemed (And by many, who even do know about it, chalk it up to!) the result of international apathy and ambivalence but in reality was the direct and/or indirect result of well considered clandestine, covert U.S. led foreign policy aims and actions/non-actions.
